Peugeot Will Release More EV Models, Inspired By Inception Concept

French carmaker Peugeot held its "E-LION" Day event this week where it detailed lengthy plans to fully electrify its range and line-up starting this year.
As noted, the company's E-LION project calls for it to be fully electrified in Europe by 2030, with five new EVs set for release over the next two years. The plan will include models such as the E-408, the E-3008, and the E-5008, as well as the E-308 and E-308 SW estate.
According to Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson, the E -LION Project will define the brand’s strategy as an EV brand and ensure it stays connected to the pulse of society and deliver mobility that lives up to their brand values.

The electric 308 and 308 SW will be powered by a brand-new electric engine, developing 154 HP (115 kW) and with a range of over 400 KM (WLTP cycle). This offer stands as a no-compromise response with segment-leading efficiency including an average energy consumption rate of 12.7 kWh.
Among seven silhouettes shown in the picture above, it appears that at least three of them are recognised as non-SUV/Crossover body segments. Also, the three-claw headlight design motif confirms Peugeot’s desire for its most recent Inception concept car to influence its upcoming line of EVs.
Furthermore, Peugeot is set to debut its E-3008 in the second half of 2023 with a claimed range of up to 700 KM, plus the choice between four electric powertrains including dual motor setups.
Something to look forward to, the E-3008 will be the first car launched with the new state of the art STLA Medium platform. Next, the E-5008 model is set to follow in a similar footstep shortly after.
