New Peugeot 408 Present At Selected Dealers This Month, Bookings Opened

The Peugeot 'Sinar Raya Open House Weekend' campaign takes places this month at participating dealers on April 20 and 21.
As predicted, the newly formed Stellantis Malaysia National Sales Company (Stellantis Malaysia) is set to ramp up its efforts starting with the Peugeot brand first. Earlier today, the firm announced a special festive ‘Sinar Raya Open House Weekend’ campaign that’s set to run this month.
This special festive campaign runs on April 20 and 21 from 9AM to 6 PM at participating Peugeot dealerships nationwide.

Central to this campaign is the appearance of the upcoming new Peugeot 408 'crossover' fastback at selected dealers. At the same time, bookings for the upcoming new C-segment fighter are opened during which too.
One key highlight of this campaign is the arrival of the all-new and locally assembled (CKD) Peugeot 408 premium ‘crossover’ fastback at selected dealers. Keen prospects can now get an up-close look at the upcoming new model that’s tipped for launch next month (May).
At the same time, prospects can also place early bookings for it during this campaign too.
The new 408 will be one of several key new additions planned this year for the local market by Stellantis Malaysia through the renowned French silver lion marque. As a refresher, we’ve spotted this unique ‘crossover’ fastback undergoing road-tests not too long ago.

Leaked 'unofficial' specs of the new Peugeot 408 that surfaced on social media during the recent Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.

Our last sighting on the Peugeot 408 on local soil not too long ago. Based on the above leak, three trimlines are expected.
Moreover, ‘unofficial’ specifications for the model has leaked on social media during the recent Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays. Said leak indicates three variants will be available – base Allure, mid-spec Premium, and range-topping GT guises.
Based on the EMP2 platform, all are set to share a 1.6-litre PureTech turbo petrol mill outputting 215 HP and 300 NM to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic box. Each trimline will be separated by their respective equipment list which, naturally, sees the range-topper laced with plenty.

key highlights of the Peugeot 408 in range-topping GT guise include matrix LED headlights, striking 20-inch 'Monolithe Black' wheels, 10-inch '3D Quartz Display' instrument panel, massage seats, and more.
Amongst the highlights of the GT range-topper’s spec based on the leak mentioned include massage seats, striking 20-inch ‘Monolithe Black’ wheels, matrix LED headlamps, 10-inch ‘3D Quartz Display’ instrument panel, plus a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen with a customisable touch panel.
No word on price, but considering Stellantis Malaysia’s plans to position the Peugeot marque at a higher status, the 408 is expected to command a slight premium over the usual C-segment fighters – many online speculate a starting price somewhere between RM140,000 and RM150,000.

Besides the 408's appearance, the 'Sinar Raya Open House Weekend' sees test-drives, special rebates of up to RM8,000, as well as lucky "ketupat" draws offered for the 2008 (left), and both the 3008 and 5008 duo (right).
Besides the 408’s arrival at selected showrooms, the ‘Sinar Raya Open House Weekend’ mentioned sees participating dealers offering test-drives for the 2008, 3008 and 5008 crossovers trio. Moreover, said threesome are up for grabs with rebates of up to RM8,000 too during this campaign.
Additionally, visitors test-driving any of the models mentioned will also qualify for a lucky “ketupat” where they stand a chance to win up to RM1,000 of additional ‘Duit Raya’ for bookings placed. All of which comes on top of various Hari Raya Aidilfitri delights being served throughout the campaign.
More details about the ‘Sinar Raya Open House Weekend’ are available online via the official Peugeot Malaysia Facebook Page, as well as its official website – Peugeot.com.my.
