Polite King Of The Road - Myvi Driver Signals Lane Change With Laminated Paper Sign
A video of dashcam footage shows an undisclosed man rolling down his window to stick a sign out of the right side of his car was posted on public Facebook group 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians. The sign, which is printed on laminated A4 paper, says, in translation, "Please give way," and includes the pleading hands emoji. The driver of the car behind him (and thus the owner of the dashcam footage) slows down and allows the driver to pass through after displaying the sign as a means of shifting into the right lane.

The driver turns his sign around just before moving in front of the car, revealing a "Thank you" message behind him. That was very polite of him! Other Malaysians were enthralled by the display and took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the driver's decision to use a signboard rather than his car's signal system. A few Facebook users speculated that the man may have used a physical sign because his car's signal system was faulty or malfunctioning. Nonetheless, others praised the man.
"It's a good idea; he's exercising caution and common sense." Nonetheless, a few mischievous individuals couldn't help but find some laughter in the situation. "Myvis are always full of surprises!" one user exclaimed. "His arm may be hit by a driver sooner or later," another user warned.
One user even joked about the man preferring to use a sheet of A4 paper as his signal instead of his car's system.
