Finance (MOF) has announced the retail prices of all fuels in Malaysia for the
coming week of February 9 to 15, 2023 would remain unchanged.Premium RON 97
sees no changes at RM3.35 per litre, as does regular RON 95 when it continues
to retail at its ceiling price of RM2.05 per litre which set by the government
back in February 2021. On to the
diesel blends, all three also see no changes for the second week of February
2023. As for Euro5 B10 and B20 blends, it remains at RM 2.15 per litre, whilst
Euro 5 B7 resumes with the same RM2.35 per litre figure as it did for the past two week.







As usual, these
prices take effect from midnight tonight until the next price announcement from
the Ministry next Wednesday – Feb 15, 2023.

Motorists heading out for Chinese New Year celebrations are advised to prepare for heavy congestion, as the <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/12/safe-smooth-highways-assured-as-toll-rates-frozen-next-year-llm" target="_blank" style="">Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM)</a> expects traffic volume on major highways nationwide to peak at 3.27 million vehicles.
LLM said traffic is expected to start building up as early as Friday, February 13, especially for those travelling north, south, and towards the East Coast. The heaviest congestion is projected on the first and second day of Chinese New Year, when traffic is expected to reach its highest levels.

To manage the festive rush, LLM has directed all highway concessionaires to ensure smooth and safe travel throughout the period. From February 12 to February 23, all highway lanes will remain open, with no planned closures except for emergency works. SmartLanes will be activated at 32 locations along the PLUS Expressway to help ease congestion during peak hours. Toll operators have also been instructed to ensure toll collection systems remain fully functional.LLM is advising road users to plan their journeys early by referring to the Travel Time Advisory (TTA) and using the LLM TuJu Highway Navigation App, particularly for the North-South Expressway, KL-Karak Expressway, and LPT1.

What continues to be a mystery too despite the lengthy discussion is a timeline for this new generation Myvi replacement’s arrival – the exec skirted away from dishing out this detail.Of course, there’s indeed much we can speculate from the answers given by P2’s chief.
