Sime Darby Auto Selection (SDAS) introduced a new +Hybrid Extended Warranty Program, and it’s tailored exclusively for pre-owned BMW plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). The program was devised in collaboration with Guard My Ride (GMR) and RHB Insurance.
The SDAS +HYBRID Extended Warranty Program covers pre-owned BMW PHEV models such as the 330e, 530e, 740Le, including X5 40e and X5 45e. Eligible cars must also possess mileage under 140,000 KM and aged less than 8 years that are available for purchase from SDAS.
The warranty covers four key components, those being the Electrical Machine Electronics (EME), High-Voltage Battery Cell, Electric Motor and Battery Management Electronics (SME). Take note that this extended warranty does not cover programming and wiring.

Customers keen to purchase this extended warranty plan must undergo pre-purchase inspection by SDAS to obtain coverage from the nearest SDAS 3S centre in Lot 33, Glenmarie Shah Alam. Beyond that, there’s also a 7-day and 500km cooling-off period from the extended warranty coverage’s starting date, whereas mileage claims can only be made after March 9.
Additionally, the program offers an RM15,000 limit per claim, on a total aggregate of up to RM100,000. It also offers complimentary towing service to nationwide panel workshops for repair and servicing besides insurance coverage plus insurance underwriting.
