Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the New Sonata design today, along with a new badge for the eighth-generation midsize sedan, making this its sportiest design ever.
The new Sonata revolutionises the original 2019 Sonata's image and is reincarnated as a dynamic, innovative new model with low-slung, exquisite proportions, more aggressive styling with loads of future-oriented technology onboard.

The new Sonata is basically a modern take on the four-door coupe that embodies Hyundai Motor's 'Sensuous Sportiness' design philosophy.
Using the N Line-based exterior design of the Sonata, it manages to express a sports coupe flair with a long hood, low front-end, and fastback roof line, enhancing its distinctive image.

The Sonata's low-slung exterior emphasises 'Sportiness' with a horizontal front-end layout that integrates Hyundai's iconic Seamless Horizon Lamp, hidden headlamps, broad grille, and air intake for a more dynamic and aggressive appearance. The Seamless Horizon Lamp and wide-set, concealed headlamps produce a striking lighting effect that emphasises the vehicle's wide stance while adding a modern touch.
It further manages to balance the contrast between crisp, linear features and smooth, supple surfaces in emphasising the dynamic design. The black garnish along the body's bottom climbs towards the rear, lending Sonata a powerful personality.

While the new H-lights at the rear enhance this model's high-tech look and broad stance. The entry model’s swooping spoiler-shaped boot lid and muffler-shaped rear garnish create the appearance of a high-performance sports sedan, while the N Line variant adds a rear spoiler and dual twin-tip exhaust, as well as a set of unique 19-inch wheels.
Inside, the new Sonata features a highly driver-centric layout that complements its sporty external presence while incorporating a future mobility sensibility with delicate high-tech touches to accommodate modern lives.

Furthermore, the new Hyundai Sonata would feature a panoramic curved display for the first time in a Hyundai model, combining both 12.3-inch driver information clusters and 12.3-inch AVN infotainment system on a modern and simple dashboard layout which emphasises horizontal lines and an enlarged sense of space. The instrument panel's touch-type climate control unit adds on to the high-tech interior ambiance.
The interior has been significantly upgraded for a better passenger experience, with sophisticated interior colour combinations that accentuate both the sensation of sportiness and premium character.

Moreover, with its 'floating' motif interior, the Sonata offers its driver a more futuristic atmosphere. A column-type shift-by-wire controller installed behind the steering wheel frees up room on the centre console for a palm rest, which is extended from the armrest that adds to the comfort of the centre console. Additionally, a more spacious cup holder and tray are added to elevate user convenience.
According to Hyundai, this new Sonata would be officially unveiled during the upcoming Seoul Mobility Show which is taking place from March 30–April 9, 2023.
