German sportscar marque Porsche revealed a unique special edition model based on the 911 GTS to mark its 30th anniversary in Thailand. Christened as the 30 Years of Porsche Thailand Edition, this version of the 911 GTS is offered exclusively in said Kingdom, sporting unique aesthetic touches inside and out to set it apart from the regular 911 GTS it underpins.

Paying homage to Thai culture, the special can be commissioned one of 7 colours, with each hue corresponding to each day of the week based on Thai culture. Each of these colours were produced by the Porsche brand’s paint-to-sample program.

Amongst them are Signalyellow (yellow) for Monday, Rubystar (pink) for Tuesday, Signalgreen (Green) for Wednesday, Pastelorange (orange) for Thursday, Riverablue (blue) for Friday, Ultraviolet (purple) for Saturday, and lastly Firered (red) for Sunday.

Each colour is then paired with high-gloss contrast finishing treatment for the front apron, side windowsills, rear apron inlays, rear lid, and side mirrors. There’s also a special “30 Years of Porsche Thailand Edition” plaque primed on the B-pillars.

Continuing to the rear, the five slats over the right side of the engine cover gets finished in red, white, and blue to mirror the colourway of the Thai flag. Below that, the special also gets a contemporary 911 logo that sits below the signature Porsche tailgate lettering.

Bespoke paint and contrasting accents aside, all units of the 911 GTS 30 Years of Porsche Thailand Edition also rolls on 20-inch (front) and 21-inch (rear) Turbo S wheels treated with a two-tone finish in both black and the corresponding body colour. On top of which, the signature Porsche crest in the wheel centre caps get a splash of colour too whilst the brake calipers are painted in black for a stealthier look.

On board, this Thai anniversary special sees its cabin treated with contrasting trims finished in the corresponding exterior colour. The seats feature black corduroy inlays and Pebble gray piping. This is also mirrored to accentuate the upper parts of the dash, door panels, and rear side trim against the black leather interior.

Additionally, each seat features a unique anniversary logo embossed on the headrests and centre armrest.

Lastly, to showcase these colours in full, Porsche Thailand also commissioned a one-off special 911 GTS Inspiration Car that exhibits all seven colours used on the special-edition models. This colourful one-off will go on display throughout the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show 2023 happening this week too.
