Manual Subaru's To Get EyeSight Tech - Starting With BRZ In 2023!
Subaru Corporation recently revealed an important advancement in its EyeSight driver assistance technology. EyeSight for manual transmission (MT) vehicles will be introduced by the end of the year, beginning with the Subaru BRZ in Japan.
Subaru's original driver assistance system, EyeSight, uses stereo camera technology to identify and avoid potential crashes with vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcyclists. It also has features like adaptive cruise control. Subaru has sold approximately 5.5 million EyeSight-equipped vehicles worldwide since its launch in 2008.
EyeSight Technology to be offered on manual transmission Subaru's, starting with the BRZ
The newly developed EyeSight technology for MT vehicles is an extension of the previous system utilised in Subaru BRZ models with automatic gearbox. Pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure and sway warning, lead vehicle start alert, and rear sonar warning are all part of it.
The new EyeSight technology has been precisely tuned to the unique driving and operational characteristics of MT vehicles, while preserving excellent collision avoidance capabilities and lowering driver burden. This assures optimal performance in a variety of real-world driving scenarios, giving drivers both pleasure and peace of mind.
Subaru is dedicated to fulfilling its mission of "Delivering Happiness to All" by consistently improving safety with a comprehensive approach that includes primary, driving, passive, preventative, and linked safety technologies. This technique is based on the "All-Around Safety" idea, which aims to provide all occupants with both enjoyment and peace of mind while adhering to the zero fatal road accidents target by 2030.
Motor Image Sdn Bhd, Malaysia's Subaru brand distributor, now includes the EyeSight system in all of its vehicles sold.
