PDRM's BLACK MAMBA Unit To Focus On Easing Traffic Congestions!
The Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) is now conducting "Ops Lancar," which focuses on monitoring traffic congestion and road safety on important highways during Hari Raya Aidiladha 2023.
This time around, however, the Director of JSPT, CP Dato' Sri Mat Kasim Bin Karim, has activated the "Black Mamba" Team to help ease traffic congestion on critical highways. The Black Mamba Team, is basically just a new name coined to symbolise the existing JSPT Task Force, which is made up of officers and personnel of the Intelligence/Operations Unit or Squad 42.
This unit is specially trained and skilled in various tasks involving multiple elements within the JSPT department. The Black Mamba Team, which consists of two senior officers and twenty-two members, utilises high-powered motorcycles as their assets to reach congested areas quicker.
Furthermore, the Black Mamba unit would be assigned the job of conducting traffic crime investigations, executing planned operations, performing escort duties, monitoring, patrolling, and enforcement under the jurisdiction of JSPT Bukit Aman.
PDRM has also assured Malaysians that JSPT is always ready to assist in ensuring smooth traffic flow on roads and highways, and that all vehicle users should follow established traffic norms and laws.
