Sisma Auto Opens Malaysia’s Largest BYD 3S Facility In Glenmarie

The 50,000 square-foot facility was built at a cost of RM 5 million and now stands as both the BYD brand’s largest and only Class-A outlet in the country. The Class-A rating sees the outlet providing visiting customers with a luxurious ambience and amenities such as a plush customer lounge, a café, and a merchandise corner, amongst many.
Housed within the facility too is a sizeable nine-car showroom that’s complemented by a service centre with 16 service bays capable of servicing up to 1,000 customers monthly. The latter’s extensive equipment includes advanced diagnostic tools, climate-controlled storage for sensitive battery components, as well as a specialised room for repairing high-voltage components.
Notably, the outlet also features no less than two charging stations located up front in its entrance. It consist of two on-site 22 kW AC wallbox chargers plus a dual-gun 180 kW DC fast-charging station.
Prior to today’s launch ceremony, the centre was inaugurated last month by BYD Founder and Chairman Wang Chuanfu. Sisma Auto Group's Managing Director, Syed Khalil bin Syed Ibrahim, expressed confidence in providing a premium 3S experience to BYD owners, citing the company's 30-year history of partnering with premium automotive brands. "We are honoured to partner with BYD and its Malaysian distributor, Sime Darby Motors. We believe the future of the automotive industry is electric and as the number one New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer in the world, BYD is well positioned to be a leader in this electrified future,” said Syed Khalil in is speech today at the new outlet.
The exec further notes that the design and features of this new centre reflect the brand's premium positioning and the quality of its products. “We are very encouraged by the Malaysian market's response to the BYD Atto 3 and eagerly looking forward to the introduction of more BYD models in the coming months," he adds.
To mark the occasion, BYD Sisma Auto 3S Centre will host the BYD Sisma Auto Electric Dreams Carnival that runs from June 2 to June 11, 2023. Said affair will include a variety of activities for the entire family, and those who register for test drives will receive door gifts, snacks, and the opportunity to enter lucky draws.
Besides opening the new BYD-branded outlet, Syed Khalil also clarified that the Sisma Auto Hub pre-owned luxury car centre the centre was built as prior will relocate next door. Said hub will take over the space previously occupied by the company's Volvo Service and Selekt Centre, and it also sees Sisma Auto relocating its flagship Volvo 3S facility to a new location in Sungai Besi.
The Showroom at the BYD SISMA Auto 3S Centre is open from 9:00AM to 6:00PM Mondays through Saturdays, and from 10:00AM to 5:00PM on Sundays and public holidays. The Service Centre operates Mondays through Fridays from 8:30AM to 5:30PM, and Saturdays from 8:30AM to 12:30PM.
