10 Tesla Supercharger Locations Confirmed - East Coast Once Again Neglected!
-full.jpg)
Tesla’s arrival into the Malaysian market is a momentous one, with MITI’s new BEV Global Leaders Initiative aimed at boosting local BEV demands further helped to accelerate its establishment. Having said that, we have to applaud Tesla Motors Malaysia’s effort in executing at speed not only the setting up of their operations here in Malaysia, but also in executing and securing locations for the upcoming Tesla Supercharger networks here.
As we know, part of the MITI’s requirement for easing Tesla’s entry into the Malaysian market was that Tesla need to set-up 50 Supercharging facilities in the country by 2026 with 30% opened to multi-brand public charging. Do keep in mind that most new Tesla Supercharger networks run on the V3 Superchargers, which have a maximum charging rate of 250 kW – which would surely benefit all EVs in Malaysia indirectly.

We previously reported that Tesla Motors Malaysia’s official configurator for the Model Y is up and running today ahead of the brand's launch next week. Poking through the configurator site, we managed to find that Tesla has already identified and is working on setting up 10 Tesla Supercharger sites across Malaysia, even prior to its official brand launch The locations are as below:
-full_normal.jpg)
- Iskandar Puteri, Johor
- Negeri Sembilan
- Dengkil, Selangor
- Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil, KL
- Sunway, Petaling Jaya
- Jalan Raja Chulan, KL
- Jalan Kuching, KL
- Bukit Bintang, KL
- Ipoh, Perak
- Perai, Pulau Pinang
Take a glimpse at the Supercharger map and you’ll notice that there are no Superchargers planned to be installed at both the East Coast Peninsula Malaysia and East Malaysia regions. However, we’d reckon that the marque will (hopefully) include both regions as part of its vast Supercharger network.
In case you miss it, Tesla is poised to make its official market entry later on July 20 this year. By then, we should get better insights on the marque’s plan for its Supercharging network, as well as details pertaining to other models to be launched in Malaysia.
