Aston Martin Valour Debuts As V12-Powered Special Model
Aston Martin is celebrating its 110th birthday this year. To commemorate this monumental milestone, the Gaydon-based marque has pulled its V12 engine out of retirement and fit them into a special model, cordially named Aston Martin Valour.

Aptly, the engine is not the only ‘old’ parts available on the Valour, as this special model also sports retro-inspired design derived from several of AM’s past icons from the 70s to 80s. With the V12 mill mounted up front, the Valour boats elongated hood design coupled with sporty coupe roofline, giving it a Berlinetta-esque look.

Said long hood features clamshell-style openings with horseshoe-shaped vents on them that blend well with Valour’s retro-inspired front fascia. It features rounded LED headlights and horizontal grille design – making it look somewhat similar to the Aston Martin Victor. At the rear, the Valour comes with a vented rear windscreen, while its tailgate gets a prominent ducktail spoiler and retro-inspired “light-blade” LED taillights.

Other than that, the Valour also rides on a set of 21-inch lightweight forged wheels with similar honeycomb-style spoke design found on the Victor. Those wheels are shodded in Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 performance tyres, for good measure.

Equally retro-tastic is the Valour’s cabin design, where the marque blends some retro elements with modern touches. For instance, the seats are wrapped with special woollen tweed upholstery that blends rather well with the carbon fibre accents. Meanwhile, its rounded gear knob is carved out of real wood, adding some charm to this neo-classic cabin design.

As we mentioned earlier, the Valour hides a massive 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 mill under its elongated hood, capable of producing 705 HP and 753 NM. This ‘old’ engine is mated to yet another relic of the past, which is a six-speed manual transmission. Said power is delivered to the Valour’s rear axle (RWD) via a mechanical limited-slip differential, making it a proper RWD supercar.
Stick shifts and rear diffs aside, the Valour also comes with several performance-oriented mechanical bits. For starters, it comes with an adaptive damper system with its anti roll bars tuned specifically to match the power output of the V12. Apart from that, AM also swapped the normal steel brakes for carbon ceramic ones, with the front ones getting six-piston callipers, while the rear axle gets four-piston ones instead.

As expected, Aston Martin doesn’t reveal the asking price for this commemorative model. To further pay homage to its 110th anniversary, the Aston Martin Valour is limited to only 110 examples worldwide, but we guess all of them are already spoken for. The Valour will commence its production later in Q3 this year, taking place as AM’s Gaydon headquarters, with first deliveries expected to take place later this year.
