Launched: JMC Vigus Pro White Series Pick-Up Truck – Priced RM99,888

Angka-Tan Motor Sdn Bhd (ATM), official distributor of the JMC truck brand in Malaysia today has launched what perhaps is the most affordable 4X4 pick-up truck on the market, the all-new JMC Vigus Pro White Series. This new model is the extension to the marque’s flagship pick-up truck model, the Vigus Pro Premium Series.

JMC Vigus Pro White Series (left) & range-topping Premium Series
Catered more towards commercial uses, the Vigus Pro White Series is powered by the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbodiesel Puma mill that delivers 141 PS and 340 NM. Mated to a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic gearbox and BorgWarner all-wheel drive (AWD) system with differential lock, the Vigus Pro White Series boasts a decent fuel economy rate of 7.8 litre per 100 KM, JMC claims.

In terms of design, the White Series model doesn’t look that different compared to the up-specced Premium Series. Up front lies the Vigus Pro’s signature horizontal front grille design that is flanked by a pair of automatic halogen headlights with LED DRLs and rounded fog lamps, with a silver-hued skid plate sitting below it.

From the side, the White Series truck rides on a set of 16-inch alloy wheels shod in Maxxis Bravo all-terrain (A/T) tyres, while its flatbed comes with black-hued sport bar with integrated third brake light, as well as the outboard cargo hooks on either side of the rear fenders.

At the rear, the Vigus Pro White Series sports a simplistic tailgate design with prominent black-hued plastic trims covering the bottom half, with its squared taillights sitting just above them.

In spite of being a commercial-biassed pick-up truck, the Vigus Pro White Series still comes with a well-equipped cabin. Highlights include its leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters, 8-inch touch infotainment display with USB, Bluetooth, and integrated reverse camera view, automatic wipers and headlamps, as well as a 3.5-inch TFT cluster metre.
In terms of safety, the White Series truck comes standard with two airbags, ABS with EBD, traction (TCS) and stability (ESP) controls, front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors with top tether, as well as the Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Hill Descent Control (HDC) functionalities.

Locally-assembled (CKD) at Tan Chong Motor’s Serendah plant, the all-new JMC Vigus Pro White Series is tagged only at RM99,888 each, making it the most affordable automatic 4X4 pick-up truck on the market. For such price, customers will get a 3-year or 100,000 KM vehicle warranty as standard.
Those who are interested in booking and test-driving this new JMC Vigus Pro truck can do so at any 30 ATM dealerships nationwide. As part of this launch promotion, ATM is offering a free BHP petrol voucher worth up to RM20,000 for those who test-driven this new pick-up truck. Meanwhile, those who placed a booking for the Vigus Pro are entitled to 10 entries in this contest.
