Launched: New BMW i4 eDrive35 Variants – From RM258,210

BMW Group Malaysia have added the BMW i4 eDrive35 (left) and i4 eDrive35 M Sport (right) variants to its local EV line-up!
BMW Group Malaysia sees its local electric vehicles (EVs) range grow today as it announced the addition of two new variants of the BMW i4 fastback. Slotting below the flagship i4 M50 and i4 eDrive40 M Sport now are two variants of i4 eDrive35, available in both ‘standard’ and an M Sport guises.
“The BMW i4 eDrive35 and BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport are a testament to our pursuit of high-performing electrified mobility in the country,” said Hans de Visser, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia via a press release issued earlier today.

Mechanically, both cars share the same rear-mounted motor and rear-wheel-drive (RWD), the former rated at 286 HP an 400 NM to allow 0-100 KM/H in just 6 seconds.
Both share a single, rear-mounted electric motor that powers the rear wheels with 286 HP (210 kW) and 400 NM, granting 0-100 KM/H sprints in just 6 seconds too. Juicing said motor is a 70.2 kWh (66 kWh useable) battery that accepts both 11 kW AC and 180 kW DC charging inputs, promising a WLTP-rated maximum range of 490 KM as well.
Naturally, these are down from the i4 eDrive40 M Sport variant slotted above. Said variant benefits with a bigger 83.9 kWh (81.1 kWh) battery, peppier outputs of 340 HP (250 kW) and 430 NM, quicker 0-100 KM/H sprint time of 5.7 seconds, higher max DC charging input of 205 kW, and longer claimed WLTP range of 590 KM instead.

Both the new BMW i4 eDrive35 and i4 eDrive35 M Sport feature BMW's cutting edge new curved display module. Note: BMW i4 M50 pictured.
Back to the new i4 eDrive35 variants, both also feature BMW’s cutting edge new curved display modules primed in their cabins. The base eDrive35 guise sees its cabin lined with a leather-wrapped sports steering, open-pored fine-wood trimmings, plus a selection of Sensatec upholstery colour choices. The M Sport guise gets treated further with the sportier Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite M interior trimmings too.

The base i4 eDrive35 can be dressed in no less than 5 colour choices including Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Sanremo Green, Skyscraper Grey, and Aventurine Red.

Only the M Sport guise is offered exclusively with the additional M Brooklyn Grey (left) and
M Portimao Blue (right) paint choices.
As for the exterior, the base i4 eDrive35 is easily set apart thanks to its adoption of the BMW Aluminium Satin exterior trims. Both guises roll on two-tone alloy wheels, but it’s the M Sport guise that gets the tastier 858 Bicolour M aerodynamic wheels. Additionally, the M Sport flavour also gains two exclusive paint options, those being M Portimao Blue and M Brooklyn Grey.
As for nett prices, the new BMW i4 eDrive35 and i4 eDrive35 M Sport are tagged at RM255,216 and RM281,216 respectively. On-the-road excluding insurance, both figures raises up to RM258,210 and RM284,210 respectively instead.
Included in said figures are is a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty and free scheduled service package, a separate 8-year or 160,000 KM battery warranty, BMW Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline, BMW Service Online, BMW Group Loyalty+ Mobile App, and BMW Privlileges Card.
