Automaker NIO Launches Smartphone - Controls 30 Vehicle Operations!

Chinese automaker NIO is entering the mobile phone market with its own premium smartphone meant to seamlessly interact with its electric vehicles.
The NIO Phone which boasts the Sky UI operating system, would be built on an Android platform. It is precisely designed to work in tandem with NIO vehicles, and it provides an amazing array of 30 vehicle-related operations. Some of the features are vehicle monitoring, remote locking and unlocking, window control, trunk operation, climate control adjustments, and even the ability to activate headlights are among the features available.

This smartphone is available in three different variants, with costs ranging from RMB 6,499 to RMB 7,499 (RM4,200 to RM4,800). The NIO Phone, like NIO's electric vehicles, is positioned in the high-end segment and will be sold only in the Chinese market beginning September 28.

The NIO Phone features a large 6.81-inch 2K display and three 50-megapixel cameras, all powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Users can choose between devices with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage sizes ranging from 512GB to 1TB. The phone would come with a large 5200-mAh battery that supports both 66W cable charging and 50W rapid charging.
