C&C Mutiara Damansara Awarded GreenRE Cert - First Car Dealership Certified!
Cycle & Carriage Mutiara Damansara has received the renowned GreenRE Certification Silver grade, making it Malaysia's first car dealership to do so for an existing non-residential building. This achievement highlights the company's commitment to sustainability and a greener future.
Mr Thomas Tok, CEO of Cycle & Carriage Malaysia, expressed great delight in the company's achievement, emphasising the company's everlasting dedication to sustainability. He hopes that this accomplishment would inspire the car sector to make constructive changes towards a more sustainable future.
To attain the GreenRE silver rating, Cycle & Carriage Mutiara Damansara met several criteria, including the use of efficient air-conditioning with less heat emitting LED lights, reducing electricity consumption through LED lighting, continuous improvement for the well-being of building occupants, prioritising parking spaces with electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, and providing excellent public transportation access.
Cycle & Carriage has committed to attaining GreenRE certification for its other locations across Peninsula Malaysia, from north to south, in order to provide sustainable experiences for customers, employees, and the community.
In Malaysia, the GreenRE certification system is commonly used for analysing and certifying buildings based on environmental sustainability and energy efficiency. Certification levels range from Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, representing varying degrees of commitment to sustainability across a variety of categories such as energy and water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, sustainable site development, materials and resources, and innovation.
