Refreshed 2023 Range Rover Velar Lands – 3 Trimlines, From RM638,800

Refreshed 2023 Range Rover Velar (L560) with JLR Malaysia execs and Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Retail and Distribution of Sime Darby Motors Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macau (second from right).
Unveiled globally earlier this year, the face-lifted 2023 Range Rover Velar is now available locally through importers JLR Malaysia. This refreshed 2023MY iteration of Land Rover’s Range Rover-badged Porsche Macan rival, which is designated at the L560, arrives with a host of mild exterior and interior updates.

Key exterior tweaks can be seen in the headlights, grille, as well as the rear bumper. Depending on trimline, there are new wheels too.
We’ve covered the mild exterior nip-tuck prior, which sees a redesigned LED headlights flanking an updated front grille design featuring new inserts, as well as a reprofiled rear bumper. There’s also new Metallic Varesine Blue and Premium Metallic Zadar Grey paintjob options available now.
On board, the cabin sees a new cockpit arrangement mirroring what’s brimmed in the larger Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models. Key equipment here is a new 11.4-inch ‘floating’ curved touchscreen infotainment display powered by JLR’s latest Pivi Pro operating system.
Through the latter new hardware, up to 80% of all tasks can now be carried out within two taps of the screen. This largely stems from both the climate and audio controls permanently visible, and a new ‘pre-drive’ panel for commonly used features.
Below this new display sits a new minimalistic centre console that offers a new hidden storage cubby plus a wireless smartphone charging pad. Apart from these changes noted, little else has changed on board, and much of what’s seen the pre-facelift model is retained.

On board, the biggest change lie in the adoption of a new 11.4-inch 'floating' curved infotainment touchscreen. This also saw the centre console getting rearranged to house a new storage cubby and wireless charging pad.
Locally, JLR Malaysia is offering the updated 2023 Range Rover Velar L560 in two main variants, those being the P250 Dynamic SE and the P250 Dynamic HSE. The former is available in either M and H spec guises, whereas the latter offered solely in L spec.
All three guises harness familiar 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo hearts outputting 247 HP and 365 NM. In turn, said mill powers all four wheels via a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup, promising 0-100 KM/H in just 7.5 seconds plus a claimed V-max of 217 KM/H.

Mechanically, things appear unchanged with JLR Malaysia offering the 2023MY Velar in P250 SE and P250 HSE forms featuring 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo hearts paired with a ZF 8-speed auto box plus AWD setups.
Adaptive Dynamics chassis featuring adaptive electronic air suspension is standard for both the H and L spec models, as are new 22-inch Style 1075 ten-spoke alloy wheels. As for the base P250 SE M spec, it rolls on 20-inch 1089 then-spoke wheels design instead.
Exclusive to the range-topping L spec are Pixel LED Headlights with Jewel-like signature LED DRLs, matching 3D taillights, Cabin Air Purification Plus system, as well as a 30-colour ambient lighting system primed in the cabin.

Orders can now be placed and prices start from RM638,800.
As for price, the face-lifted 2023 Range Rover Velar commands a starting figure of RM638,800. Viewing and orders can now be placed with JLR Malaysia at its flagship brand centre located within the Sime Darby Motor City complex in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya.
Additionally, keen prospects who wish to view the refreshed model up close can do so via an excusive display at the Bangsar Shopping Centre this week from 20 Sept (Wednesday) until 24 Sept (Sunday).
