Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia (JLR Malaysia) has won its third Retailer of the Year (Asia Pacific) award at the Jaguar Land Rover Retailer Awards 2021/2022. This comes on top of being named category winners in all three segments in said awards, namely marketing, customer service and sales.
JLR Malaysia beat out retailers from 13 other countries from across the region in said annual awards held by the regional arm of its principals that recognises top-performers for outstanding customer service levels.
JLR Malaysia’s latest accolade sees it bag the same award for the second year in a row after winning it in the previous 2020/2021 edition. Including its first win back in the 2018/2019 edition, JLR Malaysia has set a new milestone for itself for winning the coveted title for the third time.
In this award, nominees are evaluated on specific performance criteria across three categories, those being marketing, sales and customer service, staff training and retailer presentation. The award is notable for its international recognition, and for benchmarking retailers to the highest standards.
“This award reflects that JLRM continues to remain at the top of its game in the luxury car segment. Furthermore, as an international award, this certainly demonstrates the performance and capabilities of the strong talent pool cultivated by Sime Darby Motors, on par with the highest global standards,” said Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director, Retail and Distribution, Sime Darby Motors Malaysia.
Adding to this, Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia, noted that all three awards were garnered by the same leadership and team. The exec further added that these awards stand as “testament to the great teamwork, dedication and commitment of the JLRM team, especially from customer service, sales and marketing.”
Syed Ahmad continued further by reaffirming JLR Malaysia’s efforts towards “delivering on our promise of redefining the automotive experience for our customers.”
Supporting JLR Malaysia’s standard of excellence in its services is Sime Darby Motors’ own commitment to creating a highly capable talent pool. The latter sees all of its employees undergo a comprehensive career development programme, with various levels to cater to different functions and roles too.
