This Mitsubishi Delica Mini x Coleman Is Entering Production in Japan

Remember the quirky Mitsubishi Delica Mini x Coleman kei car concept unveiled at Tokyo Auto Salon 2023 earlier this year? It appears that Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) is now offering this unique trim level as an option for the production Delica Mini kei car, as many of its customers seem very keen on its design.

The Mitsubishi Delica Mini kei car is now offered with special 'Coleman' body wrap
Offered exclusively in the Japanese market (JDM), this special livery wrap is borne out of the Japanese marque’s partnership with renowned outdoor camping equipment brand, Coleman. This optional trim adds a special greyish beige exterior colourway to the Delica Mini, whereas the signature Coleman emblem also appeared on both its D-pillars.
Meanwhile, the large camping light decal has also been moved to the front doors area, which appeared to be smaller than what we saw on the concept model.

Unfortunately, with this add-on being a mere body wrap, customers won’t be getting the same outdoor gears that were equipped on the previewed concept model, including the Coleman’s roof rack, rugged all-terrain (A/T) tyres, mud flaps. However, we’d reckon customers can just look for aftermarket accessories to make their Delica Minis look the same as the Coleman’s concept.
While the wrap itself comes in this unique beige hue, Mitsubishi says this add-on is compatible with all other colourways of the Delica Mini, with the automaker recommending pairing it with the dual-tone ones. This is because the wrap only covers the lower part of the body, with the roof part left exposed.

The range-topping Mitsubishi Delica Mini T Premium 4WD
Aside from that, MMC also recommends this package to be added on top of the range-topping Delica Mini T Premium 4WD variant, which boasts the most rugged appearance with some off-roading chops. Powered by a 658 CC 3-cyl turbocharged mild-hybrid (MHEV) powertrain, the Delica Mini is capable of outputting 63 HP, with the MHEV motor adding an extra 3 HP to it.
Moreover, the Delica Mini T Premium 4WD variant also gets a full-time all-wheel drive (AWD) system, ensuring that this rugged kei car actually boasts some off-roading chops that pairs well with its rugged facade.

Offered to the new Mitsubishi Delica Mini kei car, this special Coleman package is offered as a factory-fit option with a price tag of JPY 761,200 (RM24,360) for new models, while existing Delica Mini owners can get them at JPY 870,540 (RM27,859) instead. With the price of the range-topping Delica Mini T Premium 4WD variant capped at JPY 2.238 million (RM71,650), you’re looking at a total package of JPY 3.109 million (RM99,536) for the new Delica Mini x Coleman.
Orders for this special Coleman wrap have already commenced in the Japanese market, starting from Sept 9 to March 23 next year, with no limited unit allocation was ever mentioned by the automaker.
