DC Handal BMW 100kW DC Now Online - The Vertical, Bangsar South

DC Handal though might seem like a new player in the charging point operator space is actually no stranger when it comes to expedite EV charger deployment. Why you might ask, well they are actually somewhat tied to the veterans in the field, Yinson Greentech. This can be clearly seen by the choice of payment App accepted which are Jomcharge and chargEV App.

As of the time of writing, we have received formal confirmation from a source that their first DC Charging outlet is now operational at The Vertical, Bangsar South, directly across from the Lazada HQ although the status has not been updated on Plugshare. This location would house a 100kW Kempower DC charging unit equipped with 2 CCS guns capable of accommodating 2 vehicles simultaneously. The Kempower charging guns are set up in a unique way enabling for fast, quick and easy access as bulk of the guns weight would be supported by a suspended mechanism.

Although the Kempower charger is capable of 100kW DC rapid charging, the guns would only provide 40kW if two EVs were plugged in, and 80kW for one vehicle. According to what we gather, this is being done to make room for the 20kW loose that Kempower DC Chargers are known for during hot weather.
