IAM-MIME 2023 Kicks-Off This Weekend at MITEC KL

The IAM-MIME 2023 automotive showcase is happening on this weekend!
The much-anticipated International Automodified (IAM) and Malaysia International Motor Expo (MIME) 2023 is set to kick-off this weekend. Endorsed by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics, and IoT Institute (MARii), both the IAM-MIME 2023 showcases are taking place at the MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, running from Oct 27 to 29, 2023.

The combined show features three distinct themes and genres, all reflecting the local automotive industry and scene. The first one is the showcase of new cars from both legacy automakers and newcomers alike, while the second theme is all about the burgeoning local EV segment. For the latter show, visitors to the IAM-MIME can expect to see renowned EV marques like Mercedes-Benz, smart, as well as the Bermaz Auto Berhad’s brands trio of Mazda, Kia, and Peugeot.

Moreover, the showcase also features a unique showcase of supercars, hypercars, as well as classic motoring icons from two renowned purveyors of supercars in Malaysia – the JPM Museo and Utama Motors.

Interestingly, the third theme of the IAM-MIME 2023 is the grand showcase of over 300 customised and modified cars that form the epicentre of the IAM showcase. Touted as the region’s largest car tuning and lifestyle show and competition, IAM has had the distinction of touring more than 38 cities throughout Indonesia since 2001, having expanded since then to host shows in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand too.

Aside from modified car showcases and competition, the IAM showcase also features a variety of other attractions and activities that visitors can indulge in. These include sim-racing, RC cars exhibit, various car club gatherings, live music festival, as well as contests and giveaways for the public featuring attractive prizes up for grabs.

Taking place from Oct 27 to 29 at MITEC KL, tickets for the IAM-MIME 2023 is now available for purchase via MIME’s official website, with daily entry pass priced at RM30 for each entrants, whilst children ages 12 and below (accompanied by at least 1 adult) enjoy free admission.
