smart Malaysia Delivers First 100 Units of #1 EV in Just One Month

Aside from launching its first-ever model, the smart #1 EV, smart Malaysia (PRO-NET), is celebrating yet another milestone since its inception about a year ago, with the automaker recently completing the delivery of the first 100 units of the #1 EV to its customers nationwide.

More impressive is the fact that smart Malaysia has managed to complete this milestone only within the one-month time frame since its first EV model was launched in Malaysia. The automaker further attributed this triumphant achievement to the close collaboration between them and the 10 smart outlets currently operating throughout the nation, with all of them manned by dedicated sales specialists handling all the essential details to streamline the car delivery process.

Also contributing to both the high bookings garnered and this delivery success is the dedicated mobile app launched by the firm even before the car was officially launched. Together with this app and its strong dealership networks, smart Malaysia has managed to garner over 1000 bookings for the #1 EV as of its launch date, with a huge chunk of buyers going for the range-topping #1 Brabus variant.
“As we deliver 100 smart #1 EVs in record time, we are thrilled to see our cars resonate with a segment of buyers who prioritise style and individuality. They aren’t merely seeking mobility; they appreciate the fusion of technology, safety, and connectivity that our smart #1 offers. We are delighted that our customers find these qualities in our car,” said Mr. Zhang Qiang, CEO of smart Malaysia.

Launched back in Nov 2023, the #1 EV arrives in three main variants – the baseline Pro variant priced at RM189,000, the mid-specced Premium variant tagged at RM219,000, as well as the range-topping Brabus model, which commands the heftiest price tag at RM249,000. Both the baseline variants are powered by the same rear-mounted (RWD) single motor setup rated at 268 HP (200 kW) and 343 NM, capable of propelling this EV crossover from nought to 100 KM/H in 6.7 seconds.

Meanwhile, the top-specced #1 Brabus model gets a peppier dual-motor AWD setup with a total system output of 422 HP (300 kW) and 543 NM, granting a faster 0-100 KM/H sprint finish of only 3.9 seconds. While the Pro’s smaller 49-kWh LFP-type battery grants it a mere 315 KM WLTP range, both the Premium and Brabus models are juiced by a larger 66-kWh NMC unit, garnering a maximum WLTP range of 440 KM and 400 KM, respectively.
