The Ministry Of Defence (MINDEF) has agreed to use the all-new Toyota Hiace as offical ambulance for Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Health Corps. This includes the ministry to demand 50 units of Toyota Hiace which has been delivered last week on March 28, according to Bernama.
It further said that another 130 more ambulances will be delivered, which requires it to happen once the state’s financial situation recovered or finally improves.
This movement by the ministry is seen as another initiative to boost health services for military personnel aside from replacing its old and damaged ambulances.
.
Furthermore, these ambulances will be placed at hospitals and camps throughout the country like Hospital Tuanku Mizan Wangsa Maju, Kem Terendak in Melaka and Kem Gemas in Negeri Sembilan.
“The receipt of these assets is crucial for improving the quality of service for the MAF Health Corps and ensuring that the affairs of personnel remain a top priority.
‘’I hope that these MAF ambulances can also be used by outside parties who need medical treatment,” Ministry Of Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said.
A little bit of details we can share on the Hiace commercial van is that it only comes in Solid White which carries a price starting from RM 113K for the 2023 model.
Safety aspects of the Toyota Hiace also provides Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Safety Brake Pedal, Reverse Sensor, Vehicle Security System, Emergency Kit and Front and optional for Rear Digital Video Recorder (DVR).
