KLIMS 2024 Rebranded as KL International Mobility Show

MAA has rebranded KLIMS 2024 as the KL International Mobility Show, taking place on Dec 5–11 at MITEC, KL.
During its annual press conference earlier this week, the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) reiterated that KLIMS is coming back this year. Though the initial announcement of its return was made last year, this time around the association has included the exact dates and location for the motor show, as well as its new name.
Now rebranded as the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show, the nation’s most important motor show is set to take place later this year, from December 5 to 11, at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur.

MAA president Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain further explained that despite the rebranding, the main core of this year’s KLIMS will remain the same as before, with the show mainly serving as a brand-driven show rather than a massive sales event.
Besides KLIMS, other globally renowned motor shows like the Japan Mobility Show have also rebranded themselves in recent years, where some mobility elements have been integrated into the main show.

Prior to this new announcement, the association previously hinted at the return of KLIMS way back in 2022, as indicated by the then president, the late Datuk Aishah Ahmad, during its annual press conference event. With the last KLIMS show held back in 2018, its long-awaited return this year will end a six-year drought, with the hopes that MAA will retain the previous annual format for years to come.
So folks, are you excited about the upcoming KL International Mobility Show happening at the end of this year? What vehicles or brands are you looking forward to seeing at KLIMS this year? As always, don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments below…
