Aston Martin teased the new Vantage model ahead of its debut on Feb 12

Aston Martin has confirmed that the next-gen Vantage sportscar is set to make its global debut later on Feb 12. Ahead of its planned global unveiling, the British boutique marque has published a new teaser image, revealing the side vent of the upcoming Vantage.

Described as the “fastest and most exhilarating” Vantage ever made, we can expect the new model to boast some output increase, plus overall performance improvements over the outgoing model. AM insisted that such an upgrade is more than a mere numbers bump, as the new model is designed for those “that crave driving purity and revel at the limit”.

As expected, AM has yet to reveal any juicy details regarding these performance upgrades. However, we can expect the new Vantage to harness a tuned version of the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 mill sourced from AMG. Said mill is capable of delivering up to 671 HP (500 kW), as evident in the new Aston Martin DB12.

On the design front, we can expect the new Vantage to arrive in both coupe and roadster variants while retaining its predecessor’s body proportions and silhouette. Fortunately for us, we won’t have to use much of our imagination, as we can simply refer to the new Vantage’s race car twin, which recently made its racing debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona endurance race last weekend.

Racing under the Hearts of Racing flag in the GTD Pro class, the three Vantage GT3 race cars gave us a glimpse of what its road-legal twin will look like. Minus the aggressive body kit and GT-style rear wing, the new Vantage race car sports a new front face, featuring larger headlight units that are still partially disguised, plus a larger front grille. More importantly, the racecar shows that the new Vantage will retain its signature two-door GT body style with a long, swooping front hood.

For the exact details on the new Aston Martin Vantage, we’ll just have to wait until its global debut, which is set to commence later in February. Its debut will also coincide with the official reveal of its GT3-spec race car twin, as well as the new AMR24 Formula One car for the new season.
