Tesla has finally announced the expansion of its charging network up north to Penang by introducing two new Destination Charging stations on the island state.

With these, Tesla owners can now “seamlessly” access cross-country charging from Singapore to Johor and Penang, although their charging time at both the locations in Penang would indeed be a long one due to the absence of any Super Charging output there.
According to Tesla, their Destination Charging stations offer convenient and reliable charging options. Moreover, for Tesla owners specifically, access to which is offered for FREE to all Tesla owners. Access to this facility simply requires users to plug-in and monitor their charging status via the Tesla app. Users will be notified via the app when charging is complete.

The Destination Charging station at The Ship Campus features 8 units of Destination Chargers, while the All Seasons Place sees 4 units of Destination Chargers instead. According to the folks at Tesla Malaysia, they remain committed to further developing charging infrastructure in Penang and expanding coverage across Malaysia.
