Tesla Model 3 ‘Highland’ Performance Spied with No Camo Wrap
The facelifted Tesla Model 3 ‘Highland’ Performance variant has been spotted once again, this time featuring no camouflage wrap. Revealed in two short videos posted by Twitter/X user @dessiewisley, this latest spy shot shows new details of the top-spec Model 3 variant, with two examples spotted roaming the streets of Valencia, Spain, possibly during a commercial video shoot.
The first video revealed that the facelifted Model 3 Performance will get a Ludicrous badge, aside from other new styling items.
Starting with the first video, the red-hued Model 3 Performance appears to be sporting several new styling items, including a new rear splitter and a ducktail-style trunk spoiler, aside from riding on new wheels. Upon closer inspection, you’ll also notice that the model sports a Ludicrous badge on the tailgate, indicating that this will be the Performance variant of the newly-facelifted Model 3.
Moving on to the second video, you can somewhat see a new front splitter design on this black-hued Model 3, while the rest of its front face looks identical to the standard variants of the Model 3 ‘Highland’. From here, the Model 3 Performance also appears to come with sportier front seats, which has been confirmed in our previous spy shot report.
While Tesla has yet to reveal the exact details of the facelifted Model 3 Performance, this top-spec variant is expected to improve its predecessor’s 0-60 MPH (96 KM/H) sprint time of 3.3 seconds while boasting beefier suspension and brake setups. Whether this facelifted model boasts an improvement in its range and battery performance remains shrouded in mystery for now.
Set to be launched any time in the first half of 2024, the upcoming Tesla Model 3 ‘Highland’ Performance variant is reported to commence its production as early as March this year, with both Tesla’s Giga Shanghai and Fremont production plants tasked with churning them out first. With the car now spotted with no camouflage wrap, perhaps we can expect its debut to be expedited earlier than we’ve anticipated.
