Over the weekend, a social media post shared by Facebook user JC Jess detailing a serious fault in her newly purchased – and serviced – Chery Omoda 5 has gone viral. The video post saw said user emotionally detail a very serious fault in her particular Omoda 5 unit.
At the time of writing, said post has already garnered strong traction in just a little over 22 hours with over 14,000 shares since it first went up on Saturday, April 6. Now, Chery Malaysia has officially responded to the matter by issuing the following statement:
Official statements issued by Chery Malaysia regarding the viral Omoda 5 customer complaint.
Not only has the Chinese automaker’s Malaysian arm acknowledged the matter, but the firm has also iterated that it has gotten in touch with the customer, offering her a courtesy car too whilst the firm investigates both the car and issues detailed.
Launched back in July last year, the Chery Omoda 5 stood as a highly affordable promising left-field B-SUV fighter when we sampled it.
Chery Malaysia also took the opportunity to reiterate its commitment as a brand in providing safe and reliable solutions to Malaysian customers by ensuring all its vehicles meet the highest safety standards.
Lastly, Chery Malaysia notes that customers facing issues with their vehicles should not hesitate to call or e-mail the Chery Careline at 03-2771 7070 and [email protected] respectively.
