Launched: 2024 Honda City Hatchback Facelift – 5 variants, From RM85,900 Onwards

Honda Malaysia officially introduced the face-lifted 2024 Honda City Hatchback earlier today.
After opening up early order books last month, Honda Malaysia officially launched the face-lifted 2024 Honda City Hatchback earlier today. Like before, five variants were announced, with the range capped off by an e:HEV RS sporty hybrid flagship offering.
As for price, the range now commands the following figures:

Official prices of the face-lifted 2024MY Honda City Hatchback range.
As expected, the face-lifted 2024MY version of Honda's de-booted City sedan twin arrives with a host of mild aesthetic tweaks. Key amongst which are the restyled front grille, lower bumper grille, LED foglamps, front bumper, and new rear bumper garnish.
In the case of the e:HEV RS range-topper, it sees all-new front bumper and honeycombe grille, the latter finished in black. Revised too are the rear bumper, RS badges and black-finished 16-inch alloy wheels. Again, much of these mirror what we saw in the Thai-spec model we reported on prior.

In the range-topping e:HEV RS, you'll find a reworked front bumper, new grilles, LED foglamps, rear bumper garnish, and black-finished 16-inch wheels.
Over on to the cabin and, unsurprisingly, little has changed here except for the RS variants. These now sport striking new red-hued dash panels, combination leather seats with red pipe-stitching, new 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 7-inch TFT instrumentation.
Notably, the versatile and flexible Ultra Seats are now standard across the board. Honda also notes that the Honda Connect suite is now offered as cost-option for the S, E and V variants now. Apart from the base-spec S variant, all also feature new multi-angle reverse camera.

RS variants now sport striking red-hued dash panels, plus an updated 8-inch infotainment touchscreen offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. New for these sporty guises too are combination leather seats with red pipe-stitching.
Also new in the e:HEV RS variant is an upgraded Adaptive Cruise control (ACC) system - it has gained Low Speed Follow function.
Crucially, the Honda Sensing Active Driver Assistance (ADAS) suite is now standard-equipped across ALL variants, with said suite updated with a newly-added Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN).
Specifically for the e:HEV RS range-topper, its ADAS suite has been bolstered with a updated Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) feature that gains a new Low Speed Follow (LSF) function added. This, according to Honda, was meant to enhance both driving convenience and safety.

Unchanged are the 1.5-litre petrol 4-cyl and 1.5-litre e:HEV hybrid powertrains, both paired with CVT automatic boxes.
What remains unchanged are the powertrains. In the non-hybrid variants, these continue to harness Honda’s signature 1.5-litre i-VTEC 4-cyl petrol powerplant outputting 121 PS and 145 NM to the front wheels via a CVT automatic box. The latter now sees paddle-shifters primed across all petrol variants.
As for the hybrid variant, these also continue employing Honda’s 1.5-litre e:HEV powertrain that produces up to 109 PS and 253 NM to drive the front wheels. This also employs a CVT box, but features paddle-shifters to control deceleration and brake-energy regeneration levels.
Lastly, what’s also unchanged here is the after-sales and warranty package offered in the prices stated. Included is a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty with free labour service (T&C apply), whilst the hybrid variant gets an added 8-year, unlimited mileage warranty for its hybrid battery.
