Budi Madani: Est. 300K Owners Eligible, Over 30K Applications Approved
-full.webp)
MoF estimates that up to 300,000 owners are eligible for the Budi Madani aid, while 30,000 applications have been approved.
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has announced that over 30,000 applications for the Budi Madani diesel subsidy initiative have been approved since its registration was opened last week. Comprising individuals and agricultural smallholders, these approved applicants will be entitled to RM200 monthly financial aid amidst the targeted diesel fuel subsidy implementation.

According to the MoF's official statement, the first round of Budi Madani aid will be disbursed directly into the successful applicants’ bank accounts, starting from June 10 onwards. Alternatively, successful applicants who don’t own a bank account will get the aid in cash forms from any Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) outlet nationwide, where they will be identified using their MyKad.
Eligible applicants may still register for the Budi Madani aid via its official website, where any successful applications submitted in June 2024 would still get the aid in the same month.

On top of that, the MoF has also estimated that about 300,000 diesel-powered vehicle owners in Peninsula Malaysia are eligible for this initiative under the Budi Individual private owners category. Meanwhile, over 68,000 farmers, 8,000 breeders, and 34,000 aquaculture operators are eligible for the aid under the Budi Agri-Komoditi category catered to agricultural smallholders.
