GWM Malaysia announced earlier today that stocks of the GWM Ora 07 Performance variant have arrived in Malaysia. This variant was launched alongside its Long Range sibling back in April, but only the Long Range models have been delivered to customers thus far.
As a refresher, the Ora 07 Performance packs a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup boasting 402HP and 680 NM outputs. In turn, this package enables 0-100 KM/H dashes in just 4.3 seconds plus a claimed V-max of 180 KM/H.

Based on the recently announced revised EV road tax scheme from the MOT, the Ora 07 Performance variant will only cost owners RM545 annually starting Jan 2025. This is indeed a far cry from the initial RM5,075 quoted based on the previous structure.
Like the Long Range variant, the Ora 07 Performance adopts the same 83.49-kWh LFP battery pack, which offers up to 550 KM (NEDC) of range. Shared too across both variants are their charging speeds of 11 kW (AC) and 88 kW (DC).

Visually, the Ora 07 Performance appears identical to the Long Range, but it does stand apart thanks to its larger and more striking rolling stock measuring 19-inch.
The Ora 07 also stands out among its segment rivals which include the BYD Seal and Tesla Model 3, simply based on its unique retro-futuristic fastback design characteristics. The Performance model also demands a slightly higher selling price of RM189,900 as opposed to the Long Range, which commands at RM169,800.

All Ora 07s will come with a 6-year or 150,000 KM vehicle warranty, an 8-year or 180,000 KM warranty for its EV components, and a 12-year rust-free warranty for the car's body.
Additionally, if your battery's condition falls below 70% during the specified EV component warranty period, GWM Malaysia will provide a one-to-one free battery replacement.
So, if you were one of the first few to book for the 07 Performance, your wait has just grown shorter, as deliveries are slated to begin at the end of June.
