Mercedes-AMG C43 4Matic CKD Price Announced – RM443,888

The locally-assembled W206 Mercedes-AMG C43 4Matic price has been announced, starting at RM443,888.

Following its initial teaser a couple of months ago, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has finally announced the official pricing for the new, W206-gen Mercedes-AMG C43 4Matic performance sedan. Locally-assembled (CKD) at MBM’s production facility in Pekan, Pahang, this AMG-badged C-Class sedan is tagged at RM443,888 on-the-road sans insurance.

The new C43 4Matic is powered by a familiar 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol mill.

Serving as the ‘entry-level’ AMG-badged variant for the W206-gen C-Class model, the C43 4Matic no longer harnesses a turbocharged V6 mill like its predecessor. Instead, this AMG-badged sedan gets a mild hybrid (MHEV) powertrain setup comprising a familiar 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbocharged petrol mill that hooks up to a belt-driven starter-generator (BSG) to deliver 408 PS and 500 NM.

Power is then sent to all four wheels via an AMG 4Matic AWD setup and the AMG Speedshift 9-speed automatic transmission for a decent century sprint time of 4.6 seconds, en route to its 250 KMH V-Max or 265 KM/H with the AMG Driver’s Package.

Besides the powertrain setup, the C43 4Matic also benefits from several AMG-specific mechanical bits, including the AMG Ride Control suspension system with rear-axle steering, as well as the AMG sports braking system with four-piston front callipers for optimum braking performance.

Visually, the C43 4Matic stood as the sportiest W206 C-Class model to be launched in Malaysia, thanks to a slew of AMG-specific parts and touch-ups. Key highlights include the signature ‘Panamericana’ front grille with the AMG emblem on it, AMG quad tailpipes with drive mode-specific sound adjustments, the new ‘Turbo Electrified’ badge on the front fenders to denote its partially-electrified powertrain setup, and many more. As for the wheels, the C43 comes standard with an 18-inch set, with the option to upgrade to 19-inch units.

The AMG treatment continues as we get inside the C43 4Matic, with its cabin dominated by the black-and-red colour combination. For starters, all the seats are wrapped in special Artico synthetic leather upholstery lined with some Microcut fibre trims with contrasting red stitching.

Tech amenities are also decent here, with key highlights including the Burmester premium audio system that is hooked up to its 11.9-inch MBUX infotainment unit, plus a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a head-up display (HUD). Elsewhere, key AMG-specific parts present here include the AMG-badged sporty front seats, AMG Performance steering wheel, AMG-branded floor mats, AMG sports pedals, and AMG illuminated door sills, as well as a slew of carbon fibre trims.

As expected in any modern Merc, the AMG C43 4Matic comes with a host of active and passive safety features, with the former coming courtesy of the Driver Assistance Package Plus suite that is offered as standard to the model. In addition to that, the vehicle comes with a parking package with a 360-degree camera as well as GUARD 360° Vehicle Protection.

Priced at RM443,888, the all-new W206 Mercedes-AMG C43 4Matic CKD is now available for booking. Included with said price is the standard 4-year or unlimited mileage vehicle warranty offered by MBM.
