Launched: 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro – 1 CKD Variant, RM123,800, RM119,800 For Early Birds

The 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro has officially launched with just one single CKD variant.
After previewing it locally back in March this year, Chery Auto Malaysia has officially launched the 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro earlier this evening. The model comes in just one locally assembled (CKD) variant that's both priced and specced to sell.
With today’s official launch, Chery Auto Malaysia also officially revealed the Tiggo 7 Pro’s price, which reads at RM123,800 excluding insurance and on-road costs. Said figure sees the firm making good on its promise of pricing the model below the RM130,000 mark.

The official price reads at RM123,800, but the first 2,000 customers benefit with a special discount that lowers the price to RM119,800.
Exclusively for the first 2,000 customers, the Tiggo 7 Pro is offered at a special price of RM119,800. Included in both prices is a 7-year or 150,000 KM warranty, 7-year or 150,000 KM 24/7 unlimited towing, and 5-year free service package (T&C apply).
At both price, it’s evident that this left-field Chinese entrant has got the Proton X70 in its crosshairs, along with the established Japanese – and Korean – segment contenders. And, typical of Chery Auto Malaysia, there’s a special early bird offer up for grabs too.

At 4,513 MM long with a 2,670 MM wheelbase, 1,862 MM wide, and 1,696 MM tall, the Chery Tigo 7 Pro is fairly close in size to the rivalling Proton X70.
In terms of styling, the Tiggo 7 Pro boasts a rather ‘conventional’ outlook compared to its smaller Omoda 5 stablemate. As for dimensions, this Chery is close in size to the rivalling Proton mentioned – it sits 4,513 MM long with a 2,670 MM wheelbase, 1,862 MM wide, and 1,696 MM tall.
Apart from four paintjob options, key touches include an upswept window line with blacked-out D-pillars creating a ‘floating roof’ effect, large and bold hexagonal grille housing diamond stud inserts, as well as unique blue fins on its air inlets in the front bumper.

Slim LED headlights are matched with a full-widt LED taillight cluster. Other notable design touches include the bold front grille, 18-inch rolling stock, unique blue fins on the front air inlet, and red-painted brake calipers.
The slim headlights are all-LED by illumination and boast sequential signal repeaters. Matching that is a full-width all-LED taillight mirroring the larger Tiggo 8 Pro model’s unit, as well as red-painted brake calipers hiding behind each of its 18-inch alloy wheels.
As for the powertrain, the Tiggo 7 Pro adopts a 1.6-litre 4-cyl turbocharged petrol heart outputting 197 PS and 290 NM. Drive goes to the front wheels via a 7-speed DCT automatic box, promising 0-100 KM/H sprints in 8.3 secs and average fuel economy of 7 litres/100 KM.

Under the hood, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is powered by a 1.6-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol mill paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic box, the former driving the front wheels through the latter with 197 PS and meaty 290 NM of twist.
On board, the clean, minimalist outlook again mirrors the Tiggo 8 Pro, right down to the dual 12.3-inch digital display’s side-by-side arrangement. The seats are wrapped in faux leather with the front units boasting built-in ventilation function plus power-adjustability.
In terms of tech, standard kit here also includes keyless entry and ignition, both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an 8-speaker Sony audio suite, automatic dual-zone climate control with rear vents, multi-colour cabin ambient lighting, and a panoramic glass sunroof.

On board, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro boasts respectably high-levels of luxe, tech, and nifty amenities. It is also respectably spacious.
Whilst here, it’s also worth noting the respectable large 475-litre standard boot space available, which can be expanded up to 1,672 litres thanks to split-folding second-row seats. Access to which is made easier thanks to a standard-equipped powered tailgate function too.
Over on to safety and Chery Auto Malaysia appears to have specced the Tiggo 7 Pro well here. The basics consist of things like of seven airbags plus stability control. Crucially, the Tiggo 7 Pro is also laced with a slew of advanced driving assistance (ADAS) features as well. Included are:

That’s pretty much everything we can tell you about the 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro that’s now available for viewing and bookings at authorised dealers nationwide. At the price it commands, this Chinese alternative stand to offer tremendous value for money indeed.
Well, what do you folks reckon then? Can Chery’s C-segment fighter hold a candle against its Malaysian, Japanese, and Korean segment peers? Share your take in the comments below, as well as our social media pages…
