WCE Section 1 Is Toll-Free Until Sept 29 Ahead Of National Day

According to Public Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, users of the West Coast Highway (WCE) passing through the Banting Interchange Section 1 toll plaza are eligible for free toll from the government starting tonight at 12.01 until Sept 29, 11.59pm.
The toll fee exemption coincides with the 67th National Day celebration, as well as the government's one-year anniversary of implementing the MyJalan initiative.

Additionally, Nanta made it clear that other tolls connected to this highway are not affected by this free toll move as it is exclusive to the WCE Section 1 highway.

The West Coast Expressway (WCE) project is currently 94% complete, and WCE Holdings Berhad (WCEHB) plans to concentrate on finishing it by the fiscal year 2026 (FY2026), according to Lyndon Alfred Felix, the company's chief executive officer.
In other news, Rapid KL has announced that all of its train services, including the LRT, MRT, and Monorail, as well as the BRT Sunway Line elevated bus service, will operate for 24 hours in observance of the 67th National Day celebrations.

For the Ambang Merdeka event, selected Rapid KL bus routes and LRT/MRT feeder bus routes run until 4 a.m. Selected buses will also begin service at 4 a.m. on August 31 to transport people to Merdeka Day celebrations.
