Tesla Malaysia sees its operations expanded, specifically in the peninsular’s Northern Corridor, this week. Key amongst which here is the establishment of both a new supercharging station and the opening of a new service centre in Penang.
Starting with the chargers, Tesla Malaysia launched its first V4 Supercharger station on the island located in the B1 car park level of Penang island’s popular Gurney Plaza shopping haven. A total of four superchargers are present here, all accessible via the Tesla App.

Penang's Gurney Plaza car park level B1 now sees four Tesla V4 Superchargers present, all accessible via the Tesla App and costing users RM1.25/kWh.
Typical of Tesla, these new Superchargers in Penang island offer its seamless ‘Plug in, charge and go’ experience via the app mentioned, which lets users locate, navigate, access, monitor and automatically pay to their Tesla EVs with.
As for charging fees, these new V4 Supercharger in Gurney Plaza will costs Tesla owners RM1.25/kWh. Tesla adds that these not only cater to local charging needs, they will also facilitate cross-state journeys in the peninsular's Northern Corridor too.

Besides a new supercharging station on the island, Tesla Malaysia also established a new service centre in the mainland's Seberang Jaya district.
Besides this, Tesla Malaysia also opened a brand new and state-of-the-art service centre located on the mainland side of Penang, specifically in the Seberang Jaya district. Notably, this new after-sales outlet also houses an on-site body & paint (B&P) facility.
According to Tesla Malaysia, this new facility aims to provide enhanced service facilities for owners in both Penang and the Northern region. This facility’s establishment is also aimed at ensuring all service needs and requirements are efficiently handled by the region, adds the firm.

Critically, the new Tesla Service Centre in Seberang Jaya houses an on-site B&P facility. It will also hosts Penang's first Tesla Delivery event later this month.
Additionally, this new Tesla Service Centre in Seberang Jaya mentioned will host a special delivery event – the first of which in Penang – on Sept 12 and 13. This, according to Tesla Malaysia, is poised to make a significant moment for Tesla owners based in the Northern region.
Lastly, Tesla Malaysia will be running yet another one of its pop-up roadshows, this time at Gurney Plaza, Penang from Sept 10 to Sept 15. Besides vehicle display, this pop-up is also set to feature the Tesla Bot – known as Optimus – on show for the first time in Penang too.
