Traffic Reported At A Crawl On Several Major Routes
Slow-moving traffic was reported on several major highways in the Peninsula as of 12.30 p.m. on Monday, September 16, according to PLUS Malaysia Bhd's @plustrafik X account.
On the North-South Expressway, there was heavy traffic heading north from Senawang to Seremban. Northbound traffic was also congested between Tangkak and Jasin in Melaka and Sedenak and Simpang Renggam in Johor.
PLUS has also activated the "SmartLane" between KM259.6 and KM263.1, which runs north from Port Dickson (U) to Seremban, allowing light vehicles to use the emergency lanes.
Furthermore, ANIH Bhd also reported slow-moving traffic on the East Coast Highway Phase 1 (LPT1) and the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway.

As of 1pm, it was reported that traffic was moving slowly in the direction of Kuantan before the Gombak toll plaza.
The concessionaire reported traffic jams heading towards Kuala Lumpur from the Bentong toll plaza to KM59.2 (Bentong-Lentang), from KM56 to KM54 (Lentang), and for approximately 800 meters before the Gombak toll plaza.
