Perodua Aruz Gains New ‘Elegant Black’ Hue For All Variants – RM72,900 Onwards

Contrary to initial rumours, it appears that Perodua has not yet axed the Aruz 7-seat crossover SUV from its line-up. In fact, it recently got updated with a newly added 'Elegant Black' exterior paint option.
Contrary to initial rumours, it appears that second national automaker Perodua has NOT axed production of its Aruz 7-seat crossover SUV model. In fact, following an initial teaser posted online last week, P2 has followed up by revealing a new exterior colour option for the Aruz.
Also revealed online by P2, its Aruz-badged rendition of the second-gen Toyota Rush (third-gen Daihatsu Terios) has gained a tasty new ‘Elegant Black’ exterior paintjob option. A quick glance at Perodua’s official website also shows that this option is offered across all variants of the Aruz too.

In other words, this paintjob option isn’t variant-specific, and comes at no additional cost. Apart from which, it appears the Aruz will remain a mainstay in Perodua’s current line-up as its sole three-row crossover SUV-type offering, and that’s despite its Toyota-badged twin’s discontinuation.
As a refresher, the Aruz packs a 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol mill rated at 101 HP and 133 NM, which drives its rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic box. Perodua also offers the Aruz across two guises, those being a base 1.5X and a better-kitted 1.5AV.
Unchanged too are much of the features primed on board. Included are automatic LED headlamps, LED combination taillights, 17-inch rolling stock, keyless entry and ignition, manual climate control with rear vents, built-in toll card reader, 7-inch touchscreen, and six-speaker audio setup.

Apart from the newly added paintjob option, nothing else has changed in the Perodua Aruz.
As for safety, only the AV variant continues to benefit with Perodua’s ASA 2.0 ADAS suite. It brings Pre-Collision Warning, Pre-Collision Braking, Front Departure Alert and Pedal Misoperation control. This variant also gets an integrated digital video recorder or ‘dashcam’.
Unchanged too are the prices for both Aruz variants, which reads at RM72,900 (1.5X) and RM77,900 (RM77,900). Included in both too is Perodua’s usual 5-year or 150,000 KM warranty coverage.
