Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Expands EV Charging Network

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has partnered with Charge Point Operators (CPOs) - EV Connection, chargEV, and Gentari to enhance its EV charging ecosystem at luxury hotels, resorts, and golf courses nationwide.
Notable partners kicking-off this partnership include Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang and Marriott Hotel in Penang, The RuMa Hotel & Residences and Saujana Golf & Country Club in Kuala Lumpur, and Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas in Johor.

The signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with these partners at the Saujana Golf & Country Club earlier today marks a strategic step in advancing Mercedes-Benz’s electrification strategy, says MBM.
Amanda Zhang, CEO & President of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, stated, “Mercedes-Benz is committed to shaping the future of mobility and luxury through meaningful collaborations. Our goal is to make EV ownership accessible while enhancing every customer touchpoint with tailored solutions that reflect our dedication to sustainability and innovation.”

Meanwhile, Edmin Naidoo, Vice President of Customer Services, added, “By expanding the EV charging ecosystem and offering customised solutions, we’re addressing customer expectations while building a sustainable, customer-centric future.”
The key components of the initiative revolve around Mercedes-Benz’s charging solution for homes, retail locations, public spaces and not forgetting corporate collaboration.

Additionally, Mercedes-Benz customers can enjoy exclusive privileges with these partnering hotels by presenting their Mercedes-Benz Card or App upon check-in. However, charging rates at these stations remain based on standard pricing without discounts.
Moving forward however, Carz.com.my also managed to find out that Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is poised to launch the “Mercedes-me-Charge” App in Q4, 2025. This will integrate multiple CPO into its platform to offer users far greater convenience when it comes to trip planning and EV charging.
