Proton’s Voice Command Will Soon Available In Bahasa Malaysia
At the recent unveiling of the Proton e.MAS 7 , national carmaker Proton announced that its "Hi Proton" voice commands would soon be accessible in Bahasa Malaysia.
Initially introduced with the GKUI-based infotainment system, the "Hi Proton" intelligent voice command system has since been replaced by ACO Tech's ATLAS OS.
The "Hi Proton" voice control is currently only available in English, but ACO Tech has stated that additional languages will be supported in the upcoming version of its Atlas operating system. Mandarin and even Cantonese were listed as available languages in addition to Bahasa Malaysia.
For the time being, the newly announced eMas 7 can only accept voice commands in English, but it will eventually support Bahasa Malaysia when the feature is rolled out.
Speaking of which, the Proton e.MAS 7 represented Proton's first foray into the electric vehicle market with the debut of the e.MAS 7 Prime and e.MAS 7 Premium variants.
The Prime and Premium variants, priced at RM109,800 and RM123,800 without insurance, respectively, are intended to offer a competitive option for Malaysian EV buyers.
Furthermore, Proton has promised a special launch refund of RM4,000 for the first 3,000 customers. These early birds can get the e.MAS 7 Prime for RM105,800 and the e.MAS 7 Premium for RM119,800 (excluding insurance costs).
These prices include a 6-year, unlimited mileage basic vehicle guarantee, as well as an 8-year, 160,000 KM high voltage battery and component warranty.
