EV smart scooter brand Blueshark sees its dealership network expanded this week.

Sharkgulf Technologies Group, the firm pioneering the Blueshark EV scooter brand in Malaysia, saw its dealer network grow this week as it welcomes two new dealerships – one located in Penang, and the other in Johor Bahru.

“Such strong support underpins our roll-out strategy in building our presence to leverage our end-to-end ecosystem and BlueStation network across the country to help accelerate EV adoption,” says Blueshark Ecosystem Sdn Bhd CEO (ASEAN) Jeff Chong regarding this expansion.

“With the ongoing MARiiCas RM2,400 EV motorcycle rebate and Blueshark’s other promotions now available to more riders across the country, this will provide fresh impetus to ensure that the benefits of sustainable mobility are not restricted mainly to the Klang Valley”, adds Jeff.

In Penang, Blueshark has appointed Sin Sum Sun Motor Sdn Bhd as its authorised dealer. The firm is one of the island state's oldest and highly respected motorcycle dealers.

Starting in Penang, Blueshark has appointed the island state’s renowned motorcycle dealers Sin Sum Sun Motor Sdn Bhd as its authorised dealer. Founded in 1970, said firm is one of Penang’s oldest and most respected motorcycle dealers in existence, and one many Penangites are familiar with.

“We have been waiting for the right opportunity and the right partner to enter the 2WEV space with. The Penang motorcycle market is one we know very well and Penangites will receive the Blueshark R1 warmly,” said Ooi Chin Keat, Managing Director of Sin Sum Sun Motor Sdn Bhd.

The firm will now begin retailing the Blueshark R1 EV smart scooter through its main dealership outlet located in the heart of Penang’s capital of Georgetown. This appointment will also serve as a stepping stone for the Blueshark brand’s expansion in the Northern corridor.

In Johor Bahru, parent firm Sharkgulf Technologies Group has established a fully-fledged and one-stop Blueshark brand 3S centre.

Next comes the establishment of a new Blueshark brand centre in Johor Bahru, Johor. Much like its main outlet in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, this new outlet in the Southern corridor serves as a one-stop, full-fledged Blueshark 3S centre (sales, service, and spare parts).

According to parent firm Sharkgulf Technologies Group, this new Johor Bahru outlet is the first of such flagship brand centres it plans to establish. The firm adds that more outlets as such will soon open in various other key locales across Malaysia.

Besides expanding its retail network, Blueshark is also running a special campaign to promote test-rides of the Blueshark R1. See details below.

In conjunction with the establishment and induction of these new dealerships, Blueshark also kick-started a nationwide sales campaign. Called the “Ride4Free Nationwide Trest-Ride Festival" it starts this week from May 15 and runs until June 30 at selected Blueshark outlets and dealership.

During this time, visitors can test-ride and experience the Blueshark R1 EV scooter first hand. Additionally, it also includes a simple photo contest where entrants need only to post a photo with the Blueshark R1 on Facebook and the participating dealer’s Facebook page to win an Blueshark cap.

More details for this campaign are available via the EV scooter brand’s dedicated Malaysian website, Blueshark.com.my.
