GWM Malaysia Records 331% YoY Sales Growth In 2024

GWM Malaysia is the latest marque to shed light into its 2024 sales effort earlier today.
The latest manufacturer to shed light into its 2024 sales effort this week comes from Chinese marque Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia. According to the firm’s press release issued earlier today, its 2024 sales figures yielded a massive 331% Year-on-Year (YoY) growth versus 2023.
Whilst said growth rate sounds spectacular, GWM Malaysia however did NOT disclose exactly how many units it sold in Malaysia throughout 2024. Nevertheless, given the following facts, the massive YoY growth rate claimed is easily explained.

New metal launched by GWM Malaysia in 2024 include the TANK 300 (top), ORA 07 (left) and the H6 HEV (right).
Firstly, the firm launched several new models throughout 2024, those being the ORA 07 EV saloon, TANK 300 luxury 4x4 SUV, and Haval H6 HEV hybrid crossover. In contrast, 2023 saw GWM Malaysia marketing the ORA Good Cat EV hatch and delivered a small-batch of its Cannon 4x4 pick-up truck.
Whilst GWM Malaysia skirted away from revealing its 2024 Malaysia sales figures fully, the firm instead noted that said effort has contributed “significantly” to GWM’s 2024 global sales total of 1.23 million units. To date, GWM has successfully shifted 14.9 million vehicles worldwide since it was formed.

In contrast, GWM Malaysia marketed just the ORA Good Cat EV hatch (left) and delivered a small batch of its Cannon 4x4 pick-up truck (right) throughout 2023.
“Malaysian consumers have shown us that they value innovation, quality, and trust. This is a responsibility we take seriously, and we are committed to delivering products and services that exceed their expectations,” says Cui Anqi, MD of GWM Malaysia.
Looking ahead, Cui noted that more models will be introduced, the brand’s after-sales support network strengthened, and customer engagement initiatives enhanced.

GWM Malaysia is kicking the year off with a festive "Drive Into Prosperity" campaign throughout this month and it benefits purchases of the H6 HEV with 10,000 KM of "free travel mileage."
Besides this, GWM Malaysia also announced its latest “Drive Into Prosperity” promotional campaign running this entire month in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year festivities. Specifically, it benefits purchases of the Haval H6 HEV during its running with 10,000 KM of “free travel mileage.”
Visit any authorised GWM dealership for more details regarding this festive campaign. Alternatively, details are also available online via GWM Malaysia’s official website.
