smart Malaysia announced the official opening of two new dealerships in Kuantan, Pahang, and Kuching, Sarawak.
smart Malaysia continues its network expansion by opening two new dealerships in both the East Coast peninsula and East Malaysia regions. The newly launched HK Electra - smart Kuantan in Pahang and Ghee Hua - smart Kuching in Sarawak has now expanded smart Malaysia’s dealership network to a total of 11 locations nationwide.
“Our expansion into Kuantan and Kuching reflects the growing demand for premium EVs in Malaysia. smart Malaysia is committed to making EV ownership more accessible through an expanded dealer network and enhanced customer experiences,” said Zhang Qiang, smart Malaysia CEO.


Starting with Kuantan, the newly opened smart Kuantan dealership is operated by long-time Proton dealer HK Electra, with said firm also operating a Proton 4S centre in Pahang’s capital since 2018. Strategically located in Indera Mahkota, Kuantan, the 695 square-metre showroom features four display units and six EV chargers, including two 120 kW DC fast chargers, offering smart EV owners in the East Coast peninsula region an all-in-one hub for all their vehicular needs.

Meanwhile, long-time Proton dealer Ghee Hua Co. Sdn Bhd was elected as the operator for the smart Kuching showroom, with the firm being a trusted name in Sarawak’s automotive scene, especially their association with Proton. The Ghee Hua - smart Kuching dealership promises to offer smart EV owners in Sarawak with top-notch sales and aftersales services.
The new HK Electra - smart Kuantan outlet is located at No. 6, Jalan Indera Mahkota, 3/1 252000, Kuantan Pahang. Meanwhile, the address for the Ghee Hua - smart Kuching dealership is Lot 136-137, Jalan Abell, 93100 Kuching, Sarawak.
