Stellantis Malaysia Collaborates With PSC, Sees Parts Hub Start Operations Too

Stellantis Malaysia marked a major milestone and announced a novel new initiative this month.
Stellantis Malaysia recently revealed a major milestone and announced a novel initiative. Starting with the latter, the global automaker partnered with the Penang Science Cluster (PSC) to bolster science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education in Kedah state.
Stellantis Malaysia notes that student participation in STEM education in Kedah consistently lagged between 3% to 10% behind the national average, and recent years saw further decline of 2% to 5%. Limited access to quality education and waning interests were identified as key causes.

Stellantis Malaysia recently partnered with the Penang Science Cluster (PSC). Together, both are seeking to enhance STEM education across the state of Kedah.
To combat this, the firm’s collaboration with PSC focuses on teacher development and student competency-building, both aimed towards creating a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals. “This partnership is part of our broader commitment to preparing the next generation for a technology-driven future,” adds Daniel Gonzalez, COO, ASEAN, Stellantis.
"By providing students with exposure and learning opportunities, we aim to cultivate interest and prepare them for careers in innovation and technology,” said PSC CEO Datuk Ooi Peng Ee. He also highlighted the importance of a strong STEM foundation in achieving these goals.
Furthermore, this collaboration aligns with the government’s New Industrial Masterplan (NIMP) 2030, in which automation, technology, and the development of highly skilled workforce are emphasised. It’s also set to contribute to the regional economic growth and position Kedah state as a tech advancement hub.

Stellantis Malaysia saw its new India & Asia Pacific Regional Parts Hub begin operations recently as it received its first stock delivery.
Besides this, Stellantis Malaysia also revealed that its new India & Asia Pacific Regional Parts Hub located here in Malaysia has begun operations. Said hub's establishment was announced back in Oct 2024 with an aim of becoming operational by the first quarter (Q1) of this year.
As noted prior, the hub will support ALL Stellantis brands – Peugeot, Citroën, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, RAM, and Leapmotor – in 20 markets across India and Asia Pacific. it will play a crucial role towards enhancing aftersales service, minimising downtime, and guarantee quicker access to auto parts for dealers and customers.
In light of which, said hub recently saw the arrival of its first stock delivery, marking the initial phase of a €10 million (approx. RM 46.49 million) shipment. A further €8 million (approx. RM 37.19 million) worth of stock, covering 35,000 SKUs, currently in transit from North America, France, Italy, and China.
