Leapmotor B10 Debuts in Thailand – Est. Below RM100K, Malaysia Next?
The Leapmotor B10 EV has made its ASEAN debut in Thailand, with an estimated price of below RM100,000. Malaysia next?
Almost a year after making its first global unveiling at the Paris Motor Show 2024, the Leapmotor B10 has finally made its maiden ASEAN market debut in Thailand. Three variants of this C-segment EV SUV are available for the Thais to choose from, with prices starting from THB 6XX,000, or roughly below RM100,000.
Just like the C10, the new Thai-spec B10 will be fully imported (CBU) from China, and two battery options will be available, namely the smaller 56.2 kWh LFP unit that allows up to 470 km of NEDC range, as well as the larger 67.1 kWh LFP unit that supplies 560 km of NEDC range, Leapmotor claims.
First batch of Leapmotor B10 EVs have arrived in Thailand ahead of its official market launch in Oct 2025.
Two motor options will be made available for the Thai-spec B10, both of which feature a single, rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup. The low-spec models will get a less peppy total output of 179 PS and 175 Nm that allows a slower century sprint time of 9.3 seconds, while the peppier setup gets a higher total output of 218 PS and 240 Nm, cutting its 0-100 km/h sprint time to 6.8 seconds.
Charging-wise, all variants of the B10 will support 11 kW AC and 89 kW DC charging methods, with the latter allowing a 30-80% charge to be completed in just 19 minutes for the 56.2 kWh pack or 20 minutes on the larger 61.7 kWh unit.
Although not many official photos were revealed, it seems like the Thai-spec B10 looks somewhat similar to the ones we saw in both China and Europe. It features similar key design bits, including slim LED headlights, a clean front bumper design, rounded body panels, multi-spoke rims, and many more.
Positioned as the brand’s C-segment EV SUV, the Leapmotor B10 spans 4,515 mm long with a 2,735 mm wheelbase, 1,885 mm wide, and 1,655 mm tall. This puts it slightly smaller than other popular C-segment EV SUVs in Thailand like the Geely EX5 (Proton e.Mas 7), the Neta X, the GAC Aion V, the Deepal S05, and many more.
As for its mechanical bits, we’ve been told prior that the B10’s chassis was co-developed with Stellantis to deliver superior handling and comfort while riding on the same CTC 2.0 (Cell-to-Chassis) platform as the C10. That said, it remains to be seen whether the Thai-spec B10 will get the same Maserati-tuned dampers as we’ve seen on the local-spec C10.
Full specifications and final pricing for the Leapmotor B10 in Thailand will be announced later in Oct ahead of its official market launch, but for reference, the China-spec B10 retails from CNY 109,800 (RM64,816) onwards. Should Stellantis Malaysia manage to get the CKD operations for the B10 ongoing, we can expect its price in Malaysia to follow closely to its Chinese counterparts.
