Influx Of Two Million Vehicles Expected In Kelantan This Aidilfitri

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) is anticipating a significant influx of vehicles into Kelantan for the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration. Kelantan JPJ director, Mohd Misuari Abdullah, estimates that the number of vehicles entering the state could reach two million. This surge is expected to affect three primary entry routes: Pasir Puteh, Gua Musang, and Jeli.
According to Misuari, traffic congestion is anticipated to begin as early as March 28th. This is due to the fact that many people will be starting their holidays early, leading to increased traffic volume on all three routes. The department will deploy additional resources to manage the expected traffic congestion and ensure the safety of travelers during this busy period, he added.

"The trend of large numbers of vehicles entering Kelantan is a normal situation every time before Aidilfitri. We expect that starting Friday, March 28, traffic will start to be congested on all entry routes into Kelantan
"Therefore, we would like to remind road users to always be careful to avoid unwanted incidents," he said in a BH report.
In preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, Misuari announced that a dedicated team of 187 officers and enforcement personnel will be strategically deployed to monitor and manage traffic flow.

These personnel will be stationed at key locations identified to be potential traffic congestion points, ensuring smooth and safe travel for those celebrating the festive season.
