Proton e.Mas 7 Reaches 1,000-Unit Delivery Milestone

Just a few months after making its debut, Proton has completed the delivery of the 1,000th unit of the e.Mas 7 EV.
Just a few months since making its local debut, the Proton e.Mas 7 has reached the 1,000-unit delivery milestone. This achievement reflects the rapid acceleration of EV adoption in Malaysia, while underlining Proton’s mission to make electric mobility more accessible to all.

Ever since its debut in Dec last year, the e.Mas 7 has received rave receptions among local EV enthusiasts and common folks, with the EV SUV charting over 2,500 bookings just a few days after making its debut. Also helping the e.Mas 7 gain positive receptions is Proton’s decision to extend its special launch price and package to 6,000 units.

Said package includes a special RM4,000 purchase price rebate, bringing its prices down from RM109,800 (Prime variant) and RM123,800 (Premium variant) to just RM105,800 and RM119,800, respectively. Also included in this special package are a slew of freebies such as a complimentary 7 kW home wallbox charger, a complimentary V2L adaptor, an unlimited internet data package, an exclusive Proton owner additional trade-in rebate worth RM1,200, and many more.

Beyond the special packages and pricing, the e.Mas 7’s instant success is also partly due to Proton’s extensive EV transition plan. Via its new energy arm PRO-NET, the national automaker has managed to set up a Live Integrated Charging Map featuring over 2,000 charging points nationwide, thus providing e.Mas 7 owners easy access to charging across the nation.
Commenting on this new milestone, PRO-NET CEO Zhang Qiang said, “The success of the e.MAS 7 is a reflection of our commitment to providing a compelling EV proposition that aligns with the needs of Malaysian consumers. Our goal is not just to sell cars but to foster a complete ecosystem that ensures a seamless and confident transition to electric mobility.”

Moving forward, PRO-NET is confident that the e.Mas 7 will reach 6,000 bookings soon, with its order books currently racked at 4,500 bookings as of writing. Thanks to its stellar success thus far, the e.Mas 7 has managed to capture a significant 25% share of the local EV market, thus further strengthening its position as a leader in Malaysia’s ever-growing electromobility adoption.
