GAC Honda P7 Debuts in China from RM130k

The GAC Honda P7 has officially launched in China, with prices starting from RMB199,900 to RMB249,900 (RM130,400 - RM162,900). Positioned as an electric crossover SUV, the P7 combines sleek styling, a spacious cabin, and strong performance with competitive pricing.
Built on the same platform as the now-discontinued Ye-brand sibling, the P7 stands out with a curved roofline, retractable door handles, camera-based side mirrors, and exclusive front and rear designs.

In terms of size, the P7 measures 4,750 MM long with a 2,930 MM wheelbase, 1,930 MM wide, and 1,625 MM tall. Overall, this Sino-made Honda EV sits slightly shorter than the Tesla Model Y, but offers a longer wheelbase for improved interior space.
Standard equipment includes 19-inch wheels, while the top-spec variant upgrades to 21-inch wheels. Five exterior colours are offered: purple, blue, silver, white, and black.

Inside, the P7 adopts a modern, tech-focused design. A 9.9-inch digital instrument cluster sits behind the steering wheel, complemented by a 12.8-inch central touchscreen and a secondary 10.25-inch display. A 41.9-inch augmented reality head-up display (AR HUD) projects key driving information directly onto the windshield.
Connectivity features include Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife, and Huawei HiCar. A 16-speaker Bose sound system comes standard.

The entry-level P7 is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 200 kW (268 HP) and 420 NM of torque. Its 89.8 kWh ternary NMC battery delivers up to 650 KM of range, but this is based on highly generous CLTC standards, mind you.
A dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant is also available, offering 350 kW (469 HP) and 770 NM of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 KM.H in 4.6 secs and achieves up to 630 KM of range - again, based on CLTC standards - using the same battery pack.
By localising production under GAC, Honda has managed to offer a strong value proposition for Chinese EV buyers, with a compelling mix of design, tech, range, and performance.
