iCaur 03 EV Set to Debut in Q3 2025 – Est. From RM145,000

iCaur Malaysia is poised to launch the 03 EV later in Q3 this year, with an estimated price starting from RM145,000.
Following the brand introduction at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025), iCaur Malaysia is poised to launch its first model, the iCaur 03 EV, later in Q3 this year. This B-segment, off-road-capable EV SUV will come in two variants, with estimated prices starting at RM145,000 for the 2WD variant and RM155,000 for the top-spec iWD.
With this debut, Malaysia will be the first right-hand drive (RHD) market to welcome the iCaur 03 EV, although its Jaecoo twin, known as the Jaecoo J6, is already on sale in Thailand.

Back to the Malaysian-spec iCaur 03, the baseline 2WD model is powered by a single, rear-mounted (RWD) electric motor delivering 184 PS and 220 Nm, with three driving modes available. Juice is provided by a 65.7-kWh LFP battery pack that can support 80 kW DCFC, allowing up to 426 km of NEDC range for the 2WD model.
Meanwhile, the top-spec iWD variant uses a dual-motor setup rated at 279 PS and 385 Nm, featuring iCaur’s proprietary iWD intelligent all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. This AWD setup offers the iCaur 03 up to 12 driving modes, while the default torque split is being set at 40:60. Battery capacity is capped at 69.8 kWh, which is adequate for up to 418 km of NEDC range.

What also makes the iCaur 03 off-road-capable is its design, featuring a retro-inspired boxy shape with decent approach and departure angles of 28° and 32°, respectively. Dimension-wise, the 03 is positioned as a B-segment SUV, spanning 4,406 mm long, 1,910 mm wide, 1,715 mm tall, and a wheelbase of 2,715 mm.

Despite its rugged exterior, life inside the iCaur 03 is quite tech-laden and comfy, featuring familiar creature comforts such as a large 15.6-inch central infotainment screen, a 9.2-inch digital metre cluster, heated and ventilated front seats with massage functions, a 50-watt wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, and many more. Practicality is also quite decent, with its boot space measuring 450 litres as standard, which can be expanded to 1,238 litres when the rear seats are folded.

To test out the true off-road capabilities of this EV SUV, iCaur Malaysia is organising a special iCaur 03 iExperience, where it features a dedicated closed course with four unique, off-road-inspired obstacles.

The first obstacle is the iSee-Saw, featuring sharply-contoured ramps that lift the vehicle on its two wheels, testing frame rigidity and axle articulation. This is followed by the iSlide, which features a steep climb and descent, intended to showcase the iCaur 03’s decent 55% chassis gradeability, as well as its 28° approach and 32° departure angles.

The third challenge is known as iSplash, which is essentially a 400 mm-deep water course to demonstrate the 03’s water-wading abilities. With its tall ride, the iCaur 03 can handle up to 600 mm of water depth, while the EV is capable of being submerged for a maximum time of six minutes.

Last but not least, the final challenge of this course is iBreaker, which features several rollers to demonstrate the ability of the iWD system to direct torque to a single wheel with traction.

Members of the public are now invited to experience the iCaur 03 iExperience drive, happening from June 20 to 22, between 10.00 AM and 6.00 PM at the Ground Floor Carpark (Old Wing), 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Besides the closed course, visitors can also check out both the iCaur 03 and 03T at the iCaur Malaysia’s interactive showcase.
