Launched: 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4Matic+ Coupe – RM1.882 Million
The second-gen Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe debuts locally in a single GT 63 4Matic+ guise, priced at RM1.882 million.
Almost two years after making its global debut, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has finally debuted the second-gen Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe in our market. The new 2+2 coupe arrives in a single GT 63 4Matic+ variant, priced at RM1,822,888 on-the-road.
As with any other Mercedes models in Malaysia, said price tag is inclusive of a standard 4-year unlimited mileage warranty provided by MBM.
Not to be mistaken with the top-spec, semi-electrified GT 63 S E Performance, the Malaysian-spec AMG GT 63 4Matic+ stood as the most potent full combustion variant of the second-gen AMG GT. Power is drawn from a familiar 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 mill handmade by AMG craftsmen, capable of delivering up to 585 PS and 800 Nm.
Mated to a 9-speed AMG Speedshift MCT 9G automatic transmission, the AMG GT 63 4Matic+ does 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, while its V-max is capped at 315 km/h. And as its name suggests, the coupe comes with Mercedes-Benz’s proprietary 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system, allowing drivers to switch between rear- and all-wheel drive.
Rounding off the mechanical bits on the GT 63 4Matic+ are the AMG Active Ride Control with active anti-roll stabilisation, a locking rear differential, and AMG performance brakes.
On the design front, the facelifted AMG GT gets a more streamlined design over its predecessor, featuring sharper LED headlights, slimmer LED taillights, and a sportier and sleeker side profile. Other AMG-specific bits primed here include the active rear spoiler, AMG Exterior Carbon and Night packages, and 21-inch forged alloy wheels, to name a few.
Besides the active rear spoiler, the new AMG GT also benefits from the Airpanel, which is a two-part active air control system featuring active vertical slats behind the lower front bumper air intake, while the second part is located behind the upper air intake. These active aero flaps are closed at most times to reduce drag and can be opened at higher speeds to help cool down certain components of the car.
On board, the new AMG GT now features a 2+2 seating configuration, with the GT 63 4Matic+ offering a perfect combination of sportiness and luxury. Some key amenities primed here include an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented central infotainment screen with both AMG Performance and AMG Track Pace apps, a fully-digital metre cluster with a head-up display (HUD) and AMG-specific graphics, a flat-bottomed AMG carbon-leather steering wheel, AMG Performance bucket front seats, and many more.
More details on the AMG-specific apps, the AMG Performance app grants users essential live data like the power and torque outputs, lateral acceleration, power distribution, tyre pressures, fluid temperatures, and many more. Meanwhile, the AMG Track Pace app records over 80 key vehicle-specific data points like speed and acceleration 10 times per second while driving.
Not to forget, six driving modes are available in the new AMG GT 63 4 Matic+, namely Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual, and Race.
