Over 2Mil Vehicles Expected To Enter Kelantan During Aidiladha

With Hari Raya Aidiladha approaching this Saturday, Kelantan Police Chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat anticipates over two million vehicles entering the state.
Traffic is expected to surge due to Kelantanese residents returning home for sacrifice rituals, surpassing the traffic seen during the recent Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
“Police will focus on traffic control at hotspots such as main roads, border areas and city centres to ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the festive season,” he said, adding that high accident rates are often recorded on routes like Jalan Pasir Mas–Rantau Panjang, Jalan Kota Bharu–Kuala Krai, and Jalan Gua Musang–Jeli. -full_normal.jpg)
Furthermore, according to Bernama, the police have identified 41 hotspots that commonly encounter high traffic congestion, and patrols will be boosted in these regions throughout the festive season.
In other news, PLUS Malaysia Berhad forecasts daily traffic exceeding two million vehicles on its highways during the peak Aidiladha travel period. Specifically, high traffic days are expected on June 5-6 and June 8-9, aligned with the June 7 holiday.
The East Coast Highway 2 (LPT2) forecasts a more moderate 60,000 vehicles per day throughout the same festive period.

For those heading to their hometown, plan your journey well. Expect traffic delays, ensure your vehicle is travel-ready, and use navigation apps like Waze or Maps for a smoother trip. Drive carefully and stay focused on the road.
